We have recently received tragic news that one of Freestyle motocross’s all time legends, Eigo Sato has passed away. All we know at this stage is that Eigo Sato crashed on a backflip trick during practice and passed away from his injuries.

Eigo Sato was a true inspiration to so many FMX riders and fans from all across the world and he will be greatly missed by everyone involved in the sport of freestyle motocross. Eigo was a total pioneer of freestyle motocross in Japan, and was the man behind all the Japanese FMX contests, events and the biggest FMX team in Japan MX-Virus. Eigo helped and schooled countless up and coming Japanese FMX riders. He was also without a doubt one of the most stylish and skillfull riders ever to throw a leg over a dirt bike. Our deepest thoughts are with Eigo’s family and friends right now.
