For the third year in a row, NIGHT of the JUMPs returned to Shenzhen in China with two rounds in 2016. The big weekend of FMX action began with the 9th round of the FIM Freestyle MX World Championships in the city’s football stadium, the Shenzhen Sports Centre.

The focus of everyone’s attention was the duel between the reigning two-time World Champion, Maikel Melero (ESP) and the man hunting him down, Rob Adelberg (AUS). Another Spaniard was in the mix and battling these two for the podium spots in the form of Lleides rider Marc Pinyol. Pinyol is a relative newcomer to the NOTJ tour, but with his big repertoire of tricks that includes his own Inside Roll, he has immediately proved that he is a serious contender.

We wish French rider David Rinaldo a speedy recovery after his heavy crash and look forward to seeing him back in action soon.
