Due to situations beyond the control of the Red Bull X-Fighters organizing team, the final stop of the 2013 World Tour has been moved forward to Madrid on Friday, July 19 and the last scheduled stop in Pretoria, South Africa has been cancelled. The 13th Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour Champion will be crowned in Madrid on Friday after the fifth stop of the season.

Since its beginning in 2001, Red Bull X-Fighters has become the benchmark in Freestyle Motocross and filled the biggest venues around the globe. In 2013, as in previous years, the world’s top FMX athletes have competed fiercely in their quest for the World Tour title. This year’s tour has already seen incredible competitions with four different event winners in four stops on three different continents in these cities: Mexico City (MEX), Dubai (UAE), Glen Helen (USA) and Osaka (JPN).

The final event of the series was planned for South Africa in September but due to situations beyond the control of the organizing team the execution of a world-class sportive competition can no longer be guaranteed. Therefore the South African event has been cancelled and the 2013 Tour Champion will be crowned on Friday July 19th at the most legendary of FMX locations, Madrid’s Plaza de Toros de las Ventas. The team at Red Bull X-Fighters will work on the possibility of bringing the tour to South Africa in 2014.
